Did you know that Josiah White’s all began with a will? Back in 1850, our founder, Josiah White, put pen to paper and declared his intent to provide children in need with quality education, work experience, and spiritual development. It is because of that decision that our organization exists over 174 years later.
In a 2024 survey led by Boston College, 66% of individuals surveyed stated they did not have a will. The major reason (44%) was because “I just haven’t got around to it yet.”
The most effective way to ensure that your wealth transfers to your intended recipients is for you to have a will. Josiah White’s would like to help make this process easier for you.
In an initiative led by the Community Foundation of Wabash County, several attorneys are offering their time to help people create a simple will for free. Yes…FREE. The only requirement is to include at least one gift of any size to a charity of your choice in your will.
As part of the Community Foundation of Wabash County’s Write A Will Week (October 21-25), a volunteer attorney will be at Josiah White’s on Tuesday, October 22nd from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. To make an appointment, contact Melissa Ford-Kalbfell at [email protected] or 260-982-4824.
