White’s has expanded its vocational program, Growing Teens for Life, for residential students through the launch of 50 East Garden Center and Café.
Growing Teens for Life is designed to help students prepare for adulthood through educational and work opportunities that build the vocational skills needed to transition from structured care into the world of employment and self-sufficiency. GTfL is built upon five pillars: Educational & Vocational Skills, Life Skills, Work Experience, Financial Stability, and Mentoring.
By adding 50 East, White’s is now able to provide an additional 36 on-campus work internships for students in our therapeutic residential program.
The goal is to provide students leaving our programs with industry recognized certifications, job readiness, and the financial stability they need to continue on a successful path for life after White’s.
