When your home is already full and your heart makes room for more — that’s where love truly shines.
Matthew and Brittanny Cazee didn’t just say “yes” to foster care; they stepped into it with open arms, unwavering faith, and a deep commitment to every child under their roof. With four biological children of their own, their home is always bustling — but even in the midst of the noise and routines of daily life, the Cazees felt God tugging at their hearts to make room for one more.
“We felt like we had more love to give as a family”, said Brittanny Cazee. “After hearing the verse James 1:27 on true religion, ‘Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained from the world,’ we felt led to foster.”
Families like the Cazees are the backbone of Josiah White’s Foster Care. As a Christian ministry, Josiah White’s prepares and walks alongside foster families across Indiana not only through placement help, but also spiritual support, trauma-informed training, faith-based resources, ongoing guidance, and a connected community. The need is urgent: almost half of the kids entering foster care in Indiana have to leave not only their home, but also their school, their friends, and their community due to a shortage of foster homes.
While they knew the road wouldn’t be easy, the Cazees said yes anyway. From day one, their entire family welcomed their foster child with open arms, wrapping him in love and creating a true sense of belonging. Despite his significant medical needs, Matthew and Brittanny have shown tireless devotion — including staying by his side day and night during a hospital stay right after Christmas.
They exemplify the heart of foster care: resilience, compassion, and faith in action. In their home, every child is seen, safe, and deeply loved.
This May, during National Foster Care Month, Josiah White’s invites you to join us in honoring families like the Cazees — and to consider how you might step into the story. Whether you become a foster parent, support one, or simply help spread the word, you can be part of creating safe, loving homes for kids who need them.
Because when love leads the way, one “yes” can change everything.
