Josiah White’s hosted a 1-mile walk Sunday, May 18th at Kreager Park in Fort Wayne, IN to raise awareness about foster care in the community during National Foster Care Month.
In addition to the 1-mile walk, the community event featured food trucks, family-friendly
activities, and live music. Josiah White’s and several other organizations were present to
provide information and answer questions for those who are interested in learning more about foster care including Child Evangelism Fellowship, Clothed in Grace, Debra Corn Foster Care, Gateway Woods, Hands of Hope Allen County, Indiana Department of Child Services, National Youth Advocate Program, SAFY, The Cooper House of Allen County, The Villages of Indiana.
“I Walk With Fosters is an event that was created out of a heart for recognizing kids in foster care and the families that care for them in their waiting,” said Nicole Roberts, Josiah White’s Foster Care Advocate. “We designed this event to be fun for the whole family and to help create memories while also raising awareness for foster care in the community. We partnered with other local non-profits and licensing agencies to create a spirit of community over competition and make the biggest impact we can in Allen County.”
Josiah White’s is grateful to the following businesses and individuals for sponsoring this event:
Advance America, Ambassador Enterprises, Kid 2 Kid, Patterson Law, PHP Employee Benefits, Summit Pain Management, Uptown Cheapskate.
