White’s Residential and Family Services is thrilled to announce Dr. Roger Stichter as a returning member to the WRFS Board of Directors. Dr. Stichter previously served as White’s Chief Financial Officer from 2001 to 2005, then subsequently served on the board until 2019. His heart for ministry, expertise in his career field, and familiarity with White’s will greatly benefit the organization in the years to come.
“I believe White’s helps children and families! I want to do what I can to help provide oversight to White’s with giftings and understandings that God can use through me. In a world that seems to be losing hope, Jesus is hope and people (including White’s kids) need to learn about that truth,” said Dr. Stichter.
Dr. Stichter is approaching 24 years as a professor of accounting at Grace College and Seminary in Winona Lake, Ind. In 2013 he was awarded the Indiana Outstanding Educator Award by the Indiana CPA Society and awarded the Alva J. McClain Excellence in Teaching award from Grace College in 2018. Dr. Stichter also worked as a CPA in public accounting and was the corporate controller for Miller’s Merry Manor.
“It is the board’s responsibility to direct and protect the ministry of White’s. This means there must be board members who are experts in their field, understand the complexities and realities of a multifaceted organization, and have a heart for the youth and families we serve. Roger Stichter’s expertise in the areas of financial management and board governance are of the highest quality. Since he has been an employee and board member he understands and believes in the mission of White’s. Roger has the ability to ask the hard questions and the wisdom to give sound guidance to decisions that will affect the future of White’s for generations. We are thrilled he will be a leader on this board,” noted President & Chief Executive Officer Ron Evans.
He and his wife of 38 years, Jane, have seven children together and live in Winona Lake, Indiana.
