White’s Residential and Family Services’ Grants Manager, Kelley Renz, has been elected to serve a two-year term on the Board of the Indiana Chapter of the Grant Professionals Association. Kelley has served the GPA for the past year in a voluntary capacity as the editor of the Grant News, a weekly e-newsletter. GPA is an international membership association helping grant professionals continually improve their professional knowledge and skills in grant research, proposal development, and post-award grant management. GPA sets the standard with their commitment to ethical practices, high-quality educational offerings, excellence in resources, and their community of professionals committed to serving the public good.
“Membership in GPA has definitely impacted my ability to share with donors the opportunities they have to make an impact on children and families through support of White’s and Compass Rose,” explained Kelley.
Kelley has served White’s Residential and Family Services and Compass Rose Academy since 2016. She worked as a writer and editor for Our Sunday Visitor publishing for 14 years. Using her MA in Theology from the University of Dayton, she has written several books and articles on prayer, the Book of Revelation, teaching religion, and suffering. Kelley speaks and writes frequently on God’s power to save, having survived child trauma during her childhood. She is preparing to publish a book detailing how God accompanies us in our suffering and leads us to wholeness. She hopes God Was There: The Sacred Ground of Suffering will be available in 2022. Kelley has been married to Tom for 33 years. They have three adult children and live in Fort Wayne.
