White’s Residential and Family Services is pleased to announce the introduction of three new members to the Growing Teens for Life Workforce Development Advisory Team. Bill Konyha, Joe McMichael, and Mary Martin have agreed to serve students and their families through White’s RFS by sharing their time and advocacy with the other Advisory Team members in the Growing Teens for Life program.
Mary Martin is a Regional Director for the Office of Senator Mike Braun. Ms. Martin said, “I had no idea what White’s Residential and Family Services even was, until the day I was invited to a groundbreaking on their campus and learned about the history of this wonderful place and then toured the facility.
“It has so much to offer. Of most importance is that it is faith based. In my opinion, this is one of the most important components that many young people are missing today.
“The 50 East Greenhouse and Garden Center was amazing, as are the students that work there. When I was offered the opportunity to be a part of this organization, I was honored and I look forward to serving and helping to move this program forward in any way possible.”
Joe McMichael is the Executive Director of Career Coaching & Employer Connections at Ivy Tech Community College-Fort Wayne/Warsaw. Mr. McMichael said, “I’m excited to help support students to make informed academic and career decisions by proactively engaging and connecting them to real-world experiences, job training, and employability skills.”
Bill Konyha, President and CEO of The Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana, and a registered lobbyist stated, “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Advisory Team with White’s RFS as it provides necessary and critical services for an important segment of our population. The impact upon the lives of the students helps to prepare them for next steps and a happy and productive life. I look forward to this important work.”
Konyha, McMichael, and Martin join 13 other corporate and educational leaders around the state.
