Josiah White’s is excited to announce the recent launch of Family Preservation Services in Fort Wayne. This is the first expansion of the Family Preservation program, which began serving Wabash, Huntington, Cass, Howard, Miami, and Fulton counties out of Josiah White’s headquarters in Wabash in early fall of 2020 and seeks to reconnect and reestablish family bonds and keep children in their home whenever possible. The Fort Wayne Family Preservation Services staff will serve both Adams and Allen counties and has the capacity to serve up to 10 families. These new staff members will work out of Josiah White’s Fort Wayne office, which has been offering foster care services to the surrounding area for over a decade.
“It’s great to be a part of an extension of a legacy of an over 170 year-old organization that is now moving into working on the prevention side of helping children not be removed from their homes, showing that we really are serious about keeping families permanently together,” said Brent Kirby, Family Preservation Services Program Manager.
