Josiah White’s hosted a 1-mile walk this past Saturday in Central Park in Mishawaka, IN to raise awareness about foster care in the community during National Foster Care Month.
In addition to the walk, the community event featured food trucks, family-friendly activities, and a live music performance by Granger Community Church. Josiah White’s and several other organizations were present to provide information and answer questions for those who are interested in learning more about foster care, and radio station WRFN broadcasted live from the event.
“Josiah White’s would like to thank all our sponsors and partners who contributed to the success of I Walk with Fosters. This event highlighted National Foster Care Month, the importance of the foster care system and the inherent worth of the thousands of kids impacted daily. We appreciate DCS, SAFY, KidsPeace, SCAN, CAPS, NYAP, The Villages, Bowen Center, Benchmark, and the CASA Program of St. Joseph County for their partnership in this event. We would also like to thank our sponsors: DG Visionaries LLC, My Deals Michiana, Chick-fil-A Mishawaka Main Street, Gates Automotive, Gurley Leep Motorwerks, Oake Concrete, and Mark Hyde Creative,” said Alicia Kimble, Regional Manager of Josiah White’s South Bend office.
