Josiah White’s is currently seeking a President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to build upon its 173 years of service and lead the agency into its next chapter of serving children, teens, and families. Josiah White’s provides therapeutic and educational residential services for adolescents, recovery services for youth dealing with substance abuse, therapeutic and educational services for teen girls with mental health concerns, a vocational training program, foster care services, and family preservation services. The strategic goals for Josiah White’s next CEO over the next five years include leading the organization in a Christ-centered way while restoring financial strength and developing people to meet the mission’s needs.
While the board sets general strategic vision, the President/CEO is given the latitude to shape the specific tactics and set direction to achieve the vision. In light of this, the Board’s strategic goals for their CEO over the next five years include the following:

• Introduction of new programs and the expansion of current programs to meet the need of youth in care and families while fully utilizing existing resources at the Wabash campus and satellite offices.
• Maintenance and support of staff spiritually, mentally, physically, and professionally
The President and CEO will be hired by the Board of Directors and is directly responsible to them for the overall leadership and management of the total child care program that fulfills the principles as set forth by the founder Josiah White. The President and Chief Executive Officer will be an example of spiritual maturity while living out their Christian faith in all aspects of their life. The President and Chief Executive Officer will be a visionary thought leader for Josiah White’s as it relates to mobilizing, inspiring, and developing all constituents, staff, and volunteers to support a comprehensive strategic plan. The ideal candidate must demonstrate understanding and respect for the populations served by Josiah White’s, including the need for cultural, socioeconomic, and diversity awareness. Currently reporting to the President/CEO are the VP for Advancement, Chief Human Resources Officer, Director of Spiritual Life, VP of Residential Services, VP of Compass Rose, VP of Family Services, Chief Operations Officer/General Counsel, and Executive Assistant.
The Board of Directors has selected JobfitMatters, a national Executive Search firm to conduct the search for the next CEO and expects to conclude the search by the end of 2023.
